60-60 Hz Line Conditioning
Horlick 60FC and 60RC Model motor-generator sets provide a clean source of conditioned 60 Hz power free from utility faults, surges, switching transients and harmonic distortion. Horlick line conditioners are designed to minimize equipment damage, shutdown and data loss in areas where incoming power line fluctuations are a problem. Some elementary differences between the FC and RC units include the motor design, mechanical drive system, output frequency provided and power capacity.
Mechanically Coupled, 5 to 375 KVA
Horlick 60FC Model motor-generators represent our most economical 60-60 Hz line isolation package. These units utilize a 4-pole, 1800 RPM, induction motor directly coupled through a flexible coupling to a 4-pole, 1800 RPM synchronous generator. The output frequency is 60 Hz at no-load and approximately 59.3 Hz at full-load due to slip of the induction motor. Horlick 60FC Model units are offered in capacities ranging from 5 to 375 KVA.
Shaft-Driven, 25 to 2000 KVA, for Precise Output
In applications where a precise 60 Hz output is required, Horlick 60RC Model units provide an alternative. These units utilize a design where a 4-pole, synchronous motor is placed on a common-shaft with a 4-pole, synchronous generator that rotates at 1800 RPM. The output frequency of this unit is precisely 60 Hz given an accurate 60 Hz input. Horlick 60RC Model units are offered in capacities ranging from 25 to 2000 KVA.
