Both models utilize a design where the motor and generator are mounted on a common shaft. The main difference between the models is the motor design.

Horlick 400TR Model motor-generator sets utilize a 6-pole, 1200 RPM, synchronous motor to drive the generator and provide an output frequency that is precisely 400 Hz. Alternatively Horlick 400SC Model units utilize a 4-pole, 1714 RPM, induction motor to drive the generator to provide an output frequency that is 420 Hz at no-load and 412 Hz at full-load. 400TR and 400SC Model motor-generator sets are both offered in capacities ranging from 12.5 to 375 KVA
