Variable Frequency
Horlick BVL Model motor-generator sets provide a variable frequency output. The output frequency range provided is a function of the application and it can range from 45-800 Hz. The most common output frequency range selected is 45-65 Hz. For variable frequency applications, the generator output voltage can be designed to be constant or it can vary on a linear V/HZ basis.
Horlick BVL Model motor-generator sets utilize a motor and a generator coupled together and mounted on a rigid steel base. Depending on the requirements, the drive motor may be either AC or DC. In both cases, the motor speed is controlled by a variable frequency drive. The variation in generator output frequency is directly related to the change in speed of the drive motor. BVL motor-generator sets are offered in capacities ranging from 5 to 625 KVA.
